I'm getting close guys! I'm adding in oversplits training to try and feel the floor finally. Normally after warm up and stretches I do a split on each side about 3 or 4 times (the first couple are always meh). Where should I add in the oversplits? In the middle? More than one each side? I've been doing a book under front foot, but its my back hip flexor holding me back the most - should I be doing a block under the back knee at some point? Thanks :)

sometimes, just working bridge kickovers - bridge with feet against wall, walk up and kick over (if you are a beginner), helps. Really push your split as you handstand and float the front foot to the floor.
Another drill is just sitting in your front split on the floor, back leg knee down (not turned out), and focus on lifting the ribcage up and backbending, then returning to upright position. Sometimes a rubber band helps.
